Women Talk Back! was created as a forum where women can discuss issues relating to their experiences of being female under patriarchy. Our consciousness-raising meetings scrutinise women’s experiences to generate a wider structural analysis of the status of women. 

Our group had been officially affiliated with the Bristol Students' Union (Bristol SU) and was sanctioned for being women-only, despite being in compliance with the Equality Act.
